Performs data entry, quality control or data processing library maintenance duties.
Prepares and arranges data for entry into the computer. Checks input and output data for completeness, accuracy and discrepancies. Maintains records/files of computer materials in an organized manner. Operates equipment for remote entry and data retrieval. Balances control records to output. Prepares statistical reports. Checks materials for creases, tears or printing defects. Distributes library holdings in accordance with authorized procedures. Checks tape reels and disk packs to detect damage.
Knowledge of correct spelling, punctuation and arithmetic. Knowledge of computer output quality control standards. Knowledge of computer equipment operations. Knowledge of data processing techniques. Knowledge of modern data processing filing and storage procedures. Skill in using data entry equipment. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to organize and schedule work flow. Ability to read rapidly and accurately.
