Oversees the activities of a central receiving distribution and storage warehouse. Prepares and administers operating budgets. Calculates cost and depreciation for federal and state property. Coordinates the disposal of surplus property. Develops and disseminates manuals and other correspondence pertaining to inventory control and property management. Establishes facility security procedures. Oversees the work of custodial service employees; maintains work schedules, time sheets and employee records. Develops intra-agency mail distribution systems.
Knowledge of supply practices and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures applicable to property and inventory Ability to train subordinate employees. Ability to oversee the work of others. Ability to communicate effectively.
Some positions require a commercial driver's license.
A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.
