Right sizing the state’s real estate portfolio remains an ongoing goal for the South Carolina Department of Administration (Admin), which works to sell state property assets. Based on recommendations from the December 2015 Comprehensive Real Property Evaluation, Strategic Planning and Implementation Report, Admin works with other agencies to identify properties that can be repurposed or sold, allowing agencies to utilize modern space standards and facilities that best meet their needs. Additionally, to help the state achieve cost savings and efficiencies, Admin has adopted what the report identified as best practices in real property management.
