Classification and Compensation System Study Project Report

Proviso 93.33 in the 2015–2016 General Appropriation Act mandated that the South Carolina Department of Administration procure a qualified contractor to conduct an in-depth study of the State’s classification and compensation system.

The study, conducted between October and December 2015, included interviews with the Department of Administration’s Division of State Human Resources, staff from the Governor’s office, Senate Finance Committee and House Ways and Means Committee, and agency and human resources directors from eight state agencies.
